Leading Points Advisory Board Named
Wahiawa, HI – March 22, 2007 – Leading Points Consulting, the leader in securing distribution through the military’s worldwide retail store system, announced the appointment of seven members of its Advisory Board.
The Leading Points Advisory Board consists of nine members with today’s appointments leaving two unfilled vacancies. The board is charged with insuring that the best products from reliable vendors makes it on to the shelves of the military exchange system’s stores. Only the products that meet with the panel’s approval will be presented to the store buyers for consideration. Factors to be reviewed by the panel include a product’s suitability for use, durability, design and engineering. In addition, the panel members will be asked to assess the financial stability of the vendor and its ability to expeditiously fulfill any contemplated purchase orders.
“Our responsibility runs in three distinct directions,” said Lieutenant Colonel Kevin T. K. Sullivan. “First, we want to make sure we’re dealing with top‐flight goods at the right price. That’s the benefit for military personnel. Second, we need to see that the store buyers are assured of a stock of trouble‐free products with open and free communication between the stores and the source vendors. Third, we want the transactions to be a good proposition for the vendor. We can make sure the vendor succeeds in the military market. Only by satisfying these three goals can we be certain that a long and fruitful relationship will ensue.”
Leading Points was established in 2004 to act as agent and sales representative for companies desiring to sell to the powerful military market whose market reach exceeds 30 million persons.
