Leading Points Adds Navy, Marine and Coast Guard Capabilities

Date: May, 22 2007

Wahiawa, HI – May 22, 2007 ‐ Leading Points Consulting, the leader in securing distribution through the military retail store system commonly referred to as PX and BX facilities, announced today that has added the Navy, Marine, and Coast Guard store systems to its list of sales representation capabilities. The store chains known as NexCom, MEX and Coast Guard Exchange consist of 276 stores located in the United States and at various locations around the world.

These retail stores, located at U. S. military installations worldwide, are often the only reliable and cost effective source of American goods. Inside the U. S. these stores offer a price‐completive selection and an alternative to Walmart, Costco, Target and other retailers. In addition, with no sales tax charged on purchases, eligible shoppers can secure a further savings of up to 9% in some areas. Shopping at these facilities is strictly limited to service members, their families, and veterans.

“As the company working to secure distribution of vendors’ products through the military’s retail store systems,” said Lieutenant Colonel Kevin Sullivan, founder of Leading Points, “we want to make certain that every product is among the very best in its category and that the company behind them has a solid reputation for customer service. We owe that to our men and women who have given service to our country.”

“Our responsibility as agents and sales representatives for the vendors runs in three distinct directions,” continued Sullivan. “First, we want to make sure we’re dealing with top‐flight goods at the right price. That’s the benefit for military personnel. Second, we need to see that the store buyers are assured of a stock of trouble‐free products with open and free communication between the stores and the source vendors. Third, we want the transactions to be a good proposition for the vendor. We can make sure the vendor succeeds in the military market. Only by satisfying these three goals can we be certain that a long and fruitful relationship will ensue.”

Leading Points was established in 2004 to act as agent and sales representative for companies desiring to sell to the powerful military market whose market reach exceeds 30 million persons. The company is located in Wahiawa on the island of Oahu in the state of Hawaii adjacent to Schofield Barracks Army base.
